Terry Eagen, native of Exira Iowa, came to Harlan to coach football in 1967.  His first year as head coach was the 1967 season (graduating class of 1968).

As head coach, Terry is pictured here in the 1968 season (graduating class 1969) with a new assistant football coach by the name of Curt Bladt, also from Exira, Iowa.  Although this was Curt's first year coaching football, it was his second year coaching wrestling with the Harlan Community School District.  Who'd have thought then way back in the 60's that Coach Bladt would take the Cyclones so far for so long!
