Coach Bladt, Well Congrats on all of your success. I had lived in Denison For about 5 years and did not miss too many Football games. I heard a lot of people complain when they played against you, only to hear aggravation in their voices; BUT I did not ever hear anything negative said about you. I can only see hear from the comments about you that you had a lot of INSPIRATION on young and old. Hope you are doing well.

I have heard it said that you can judge the strength of a man's character by the number of friends he has. Coach, you have A LOT of character. I am blown away by the variety of well-wishers that have posted here. It's a given that kids you have coached and those of us who have been lucky enough to have been a part of the community would wish you a quick and complete recovery, but to see coaches, opposing players, sports reporters and opposing fans taking the time to post you a good wish says an awful lot about the amount of respect you have earned. We live in a community where there is a lot of money spent in our school district. They have just built a $3 million stadium for our high school football team, hired a new coach and paid him a generous six-figure salary. All of this contributed to yet another losing season. If they had asked us, we could have saved them the trouble. All we need is Coach Bladt and his staff. Interested? :) We are so glad to see you are back in fighting form and delivered yet another championship to the community. We wish you continued good health and success for you and your family. But to be really honest, we wish you would want to re-locate to Northwest Arkansas. Ed, Georgia, Mike and Lisa

Hi Coach, I am an old HHS graduate from l954, the finest class to graduate from there...:-) My fellow classmates follow all of Harlan Comm High School games and they live all over the country....so good to have the newspaper and KNOd sites to go to.... I came back to care for my parents the last 6 yrs they lived and stayed after they had passed away...mostly because I was diagnosed with a serious lung disease, sarcoidosis...hardly anyone around here has it....but it went too long undiagnosed..so now I can only control it....but just had my 69th birthday....so there is a lot to be said for hanging in there......even though things change your life and you must make adjustments to every day activities....it will work out okay.....and I know, from how you have lived your life and the way you have worked with the young atheletes, you will tough it out and bounce back.... Thank you for your service to our school and our community...and God bless you and your family.... MaryClare Bowman

Hi Coach, Just a note to wish you a speedy recovery from GBS. I remember all the great games we had with you in football when we were in class 3-A. You and coach Twait had some royal battles. I also am recovering from GBS. I contacted it about the same time you did. I had a lung infection and was operated on in Des Moines and they also found the GBS. I was in the IC unit for 19 days and had the venilator on me also a tracheonimy (sp???) to go along with the lung surgury. I was 5 weeks in the Mercy hosp. there and 5 weeks in the hospital here in Emmetsburg. I came home the week before christmas. Everyone I talk to says it will heal in time. My main problem is my legs and feet and my balance. I am now able to walk with a cane and without one while in the house. I have pain in my feet most of the time somewhat like a cold feeling, like standing in a snowbank. I just ran onto your website today and decided I better touch base with you. You guys had a great game last fall with Decorah, I have a son living there and he has a son who will be a junior next fall, take it easy on him will you coach. I wish you all the best coach and I'm sure your healing will continue until you are on the sidelines again. With all the people you have praying for you how can you miss. Prayer is the answer. Take care now.

Good Times. God is so good, we haven't been directly affected by any of the forementioned. Keep up the good work and we'll keep the prayers coming your way.

Coach, I took a trip down memory lane last night at the sneak preview of the Hall of Pride. They had a special corner for the Harlan football teams with lots of footage of the MT Vernon state final game. Our crew worked that game and we rank it as one of the two best games in our history, the other being the Grinnell semi final with 4 overtimes. Tom Fuller and spent lots of time viewing your interviews and those of Cundiff. That was a real treat. We walked away from the Hall with tremendous pride in all the accomplishments of the Harlan program and all the students from the state of Iowa. The Hall opens this Thursday and will be a draw for every kid that goes to the state tournaments, in fact it should be a requirement. Hope all is better with you cause we want to greet you on the field with out halloween glasses this fall. Best wishes, Official "T"

Coach, First, I would like to say it is sad about what is happening to you, but I am happy to hear you are fighting this successfully. Before this happened, did you know that you have had such a heavy influence on THOUSANDS (maybe TENS OF THOUSANDS) of lives?! Although I decided it was more important my last couple of years in high school to work instead of play football, I will always remember my stint with you. You have truly been an inspiration to many throughout the world, including myself. As my success in real estate and other ventures throughout the country continues, I often attribute this success to the foundation that was built in Harlan. You see, you began a "culture" of winning attitudes that has spread everywhere. It seems that nearly every child growing up in Harlan has dreams of being THE BEST at what he or she does because this is what we have seen from day one in the school system. Even though this attitude is carried out among MANY teachers, coaches, parents, students, and alumni of Harlan, it all started with YOU. Because of what YOU started, I wake up every morning wanting to be THE BEST. I find it amusing that business partners of mine from as far away as New York, Miami, San Diego, and Seattle inquire how the Harlan Cyclone football program is doing. This is because I speak with tremendous enthusiasm about growing up in the winning tradition that is "The Harlan Cyclones". In a round about way, I thank you for your part in the successes I have had and will continue to have in my own life. You are a TRUE LEADER whose personality has been contagious to thousands of people. I am sure you will get back to your normal self soon, and I wish you the best of luck! Aaron Adams

Coach - You are truly an inspiration to everyone you come in contact with. I know you were for me. You taught us all to "bear down" , nothing was insurmountable and if you want it bad enough to go and get it. At times when things get tough I can hear you say dig deeper, try harder and extend yourself. You lived this philosophy and all of your student and players on the field adopted your enthusiasm and energy. As you taught us "can't isn't a word." Keep pushing Coach.

Coach, as a Harlan Alumni I always am so proud of what you have done and will continue to do. It is obvious you are well loved and respected, not just as a coach but a teacher. As a teacher for the last 27 years I really believe what you have is something great. I never had you as a teacher (but did as wrestling and football asst coach under Terry Eagan). I always remembered your laughter-especially in wrestling practices- it seemed you enjoyed our pain and suffering. I still am a great fan of yours and of HCHS, get the online paper and listen to Harlan football on internet when I can, and I may have been gone for 32 years but still bleed Cyclone Red & Black. Get well, and rest up, I'd like to be able to see you in the Dome again next year. Bruce Wigg HHS '73.

Hey Coach Bladt, Jill, and family, just wanted you to know that I have had you in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to pray for you. The younger kids look up to you and your teams and can't wait to play for you, which is what makes Cyclone Football so special. Thank you so much for all the memories on and off the football field, because of you I have two state title rings and a life time of memories!! You have to get out of the hospital so I have someone to tell me to get my head up when I am throwing the shot!! I hope you are well enough to coach me in the spring, we need to get some revenge!! Hello Coach Bladt, I just want to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. What seems like many years ago I was lucky enough to be caught up in the right place at the right time to be a part of Cyclone football history. The thing I remember most about that play and so many other plays (people statewide felt were lucky) was that you always told us, sometimes you have make your own breaks. Your teams have embodied this ideal, throughout the years there have been some very good athletes and great players that have come through the Harlan football factory. But, they are out numbered by the kids who just did their job and who may never have gotten the glory. Those kids are your legacy, they had faith and never lacked the effort. It is the "secret" to Harlan mystique! Those are the things you taught us and now must remember to do yourself. Keep the faith, trust your doctors and nurses, and keep putting forth the effort you asked and received from your team. That is what made Harlan successful on and off the field and will make your recovery a success. God bless and keep you safe. Pat

I am sure like everyone who has sat down and tried to write a e-mail, we just don't know what to say.I think back to some of the best times in my life and they were there in Harlan. You and I started together there and our wives all found things for us to do. We joked, laughed, worked hard, loved our families and even had a little too much to drink at the getty house from time to time. That never happened at our house, because we couldn't afford it. I think back at how little amount of money we lived on, but between all the good friends that we both had, we did ok. I remember freshman football teams that we coached. you, me and gene Alvene. We were pretty good, and later Gene and i found out that it was all because of you. We both thought that it was because of us, no, you proved us wrong again. Anyway hurry up and get well and I promise to stop and see you in Omaha or hopefully in Harlan real soon. John

coach, i know you don't know us, but we are alumni of hchs('76&'78) and loyal followers of the cyclones. we were saddened to hear of your sudden illness after the championship game, but are happy to hear of your improving condition. we often brag to our son (a freshman) of the awesomeness of the harlan football team and its coaching staff. we were fortunate to be able to take him to the atlantic game last fall when we were back and surprised to hear the announcer say "andy kaufman in for the kick" as our son is also a kicker. we did not realize that it was kevin's cousin's (mark, aka porky) boy. i always tell kevin we are going to move back to harlan so jared (our son) can play for coach bladt and the 'clones. well, thanks for all of your dedication and give it all you've got for a speedy recovery. people all over are pulling for you. god bless-

Coach Bladt, I'm almost sure that you don't know me, but I am a Carroll resident and an avid Carroll High Tigers rooter. I am originally from Westside and am a 1977 graduate of Ar-We-Va High School. Just a little more about me before I go on. I have been disabled since birth and am in a wheelchair. I have worked in the business department at New Hope Village since 1991. I have been married since 1994 to a super gal named, Kelly. I eat, sleep, and think about sports. From football, to basketball, to baseball, to Nascar, to whatever sport there is, I watch and love each one of them. Although I am a Tigers rooter, I have followed you and the Harlan Cyclones for many years. Having heard about your medical difficulties, I have added your name to my prayer list. Whenever I'm having problems [and believe me, I have had many, many regarding medical issues], I turn my Bible to Proverbs 3:5-6. These few verses always give me great comfort. Just lean on the Lord and He will guide and direct you. Peace to you, and hope to hear you are progressing very soon. Terry and Kelly Kaspersen

Though I have never met you personally, I have been impacted by you as a player on the opposite side many times as both a player (wrestling and football) and as of recently a coach. You have been an inspiration for me personally. My grandfather and my father have told me, "to be the best you have to beat the best," setting forth goals that have included you as a coach in every aspect. I thank you for allowing me to set forth goals that some may say are the impossible, you are an amazing coach and from what I have read the equal in person. My prayers are with you and your family, stay strong and "remember you must have faith."

I'd like to pass alongs my family's prayers for a fast a full recovery. That was the easy part. The rest is tougher. I'm torn between suggesting this would be the perfect opportunity for you to announce your retirement. The rest of the 3A schools would like a shot at the State Championship too !!!!!!!!! On the other hand I've got a 14 year old who wants your dynasty to continue until he gets the opportunity to play against the HArlan dynasty. In either you make for lively family conversation. My mom lives in Harlan, we live in Decorah and WE STILL SPEAK !!! Best Wishes Coach !!!

Curt and Jill, Sorry to hear about your set back, but it could be a lot worse. I can just imagine it is going to be very painful to be in the hospital over the holidays, but just think about all the many many more Christmases and birthdays that you will get to be around for. Some inspirational thought for you on this Christmas Eve, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you." This is a PSALM from the Holy Bible that has gotten me through all of my hard times. As always if there is anything I can do to help, I am willing to baby sit if the babies come down to Omaha to see Grandpa. Lots of prayers from above and right here on earth. Keep in there and remember that everyone is pulling for you.

Coach - There are sure a few mentions of your ability to yell on these postings. I know better, though. You don't yell, you sing! You asked me one fine Saturday morning cleaning the stands at Merrill Field (one of the many reasons I have great respect for you) why I wasn't out for football. I told you that I was a singer; in my sport I played the voice. You told me that was no excuse, that you, too, sang in the high school choir at Exira. In fact, if I remember your story, you said that the director (also your coach's wife) put down her foot in an ultimatum - sing or don't play ball! I told you I considered it my job to "sing" at the games from the stands (often I had no true singing voice the next day). And that I did. And the one game I missed during my jr. and sr. high days, you called me on the carpet in the hall outside your classroom on Monday - where were you? I thought you were pulling my leg, but then you told me you could always hear me in the stands and I clearly was not there that particular Friday. Well, I'm still following Cyclone ball and yelling -er- singing just as loud. Hope you can hear me from way up here in Le Mars (don't worry, I'll never become a Bulldog fan - I follow the Gehlen Catholic Jays, not even close to 3A). By the way, I remember an interview you did on KNOD after a game when my brother Doug played for you in the early 80's. You were asked when you were going to quit coaching, having the great record you already enjoyed. You said you'd stick with it until you started loosing. Knowing you're a man of your word, we'll see you on the sidelines soon enough! I too am on the long list of those praying for you and your family.

Coach, I hope you have received my updates using the e-mail system. I've enjoyed reading the well wishes on this guestbook. For all the years that I have known you it never ceases to amaze me how many people you actually know. Wow! The wrestling room isn't the same without you. Coach Murtaugh, Coach Kelly and myself are managing but your wisdom and wit are surely missed. Ever winter since 1968 you have opened the door and walked into the wrestling room in Harlan. I miss your whistle and your regimen. At the invite I could tell you weren't feeling well but as you always do you helped with the seeding meeting and made sure things got rolling. The following Friday Bob called me and told me you weren't well and my heart sank. Not until I got into a high school gym that night did I feel better. I don't know what it was but being in ours or anyone's school just makes things better for me. I guess I am just hoping to hear your voice over the crowd. I think about the lives that you have touched and the wisdom you taught and I am proud to have played and wrestled for you. To be able to coach with you is especially a privilege. Coach Murtaugh has been keeping you up-to-date but I wanted to share one wrestlers thoughts. I know you have a battle on your hands but with the love of your family and friends and all of those wonderful daily prayers you will win this fight. God Bless Coach and Merry Christmas to you and your wonderful family. TH - 1979 HCHS

Jill and Coach Bladt I have been praying for you and have been thinking of the great times at Harlan. I was fortunate to be a part of the 1st State Championship team in 1972. As my offensive line coach it seemed you spent most of the time riding the 7-man sled and usually standing on my end. You always had high expectations and because of that, great things were accomplished. You and Coach Eagan were great role models. From both of you I learned to love Jesus and hate losing. That strong Faith and strong will to succeed has now been multiplied to hundreds and hundreds around the country. These messages are such a wonderful tribute. After living in Arizona and Las Vegas we are glad to be at Okoboji so we can see Harlan win again. My son, now 24, always wished he could have played for Harlan. Stay strong and be encouraged. God is not finished with you yet. I will try to see you when we are in Omaha or in Harlan. Blessings! Mark Sorensen ’74, Tonya, Tèdra, Gavin and Briele

Coach- I've been fortunate enough to see you lead the Cyclones to the past 2 State Championships as well as hear numerous stories of the living legend that is Coach Bladt. As a teacher and coach myself (remember our "lively" Title IX discussion in Westphalia following this year's title game where we shared a "loving" gesture?!)I aspire to ever even come close to the level of impact you've had on your students and athletes. I think my dad's the greatest man in the world and he thinks the world of you...therefore, it is without a doubt that you are destined to kick this thing in the butt because there's a lot of little Cyclones waiting to play for you! I don't believe anyone could come up with words to express the unbelievable respect you have not only in the HCHS community, but in all communities across the state. I now live in traitier (LC) district, but it puts a smile on my face to see their perplexed faces every season wondering what the Cyclones possess that everyone else doesn't ... I think this message board pretty much tells it all!!! I hope my 4 boys have the privelage some day of playing for a coach like you. I get razzed a lot about being from Harlan, but I just smile & tell them my blood will always run Cyclone RED!!! Many of them ask me daily how you're doing so I pass on the Web site for them to keep posted. When Bryan Kaster let me know about your illness, I about fell out of my chair! I just watched you win another championship in the Dome! What kind of ridiculous virus would pick a fight with you?!? In the words of Survivor, I know you will Outwit, Outlast, and Outplay this bugger! The 7 years I spent teaching French and a little Spanish at HCHS were full of joy and you are certainly part of that! I'll never forget one of those awful Friday morning conference mornings when I had overindulged the night before. We all sat around and listened to your stories - I didn't know if I would survive the pain to my head from the laughter bursting inside me! Coach- There are only a handful of men in a boy's life that can have a lasting impact on them in their journey to manhood. It must be warming to know that you have been one of those men to so many Coach. Lessons learned on that practice field in Harlan, Iowa have made men out of boys who now are spread out throughout the world...some doctors, some lawyers, some pilots, some coaches aspiring to be as successful as their mentor. It's easy to see by reading this board that so many others have been as influenced by you as I have in my life. You are a remarkably tough individual, but as compassionate as Mother Teresa. That's why you see all these people writing on this board...you are so respected because they know how much you genuinely care about your students and players. I know you will fight through this setback like you've fought through every other challenge you've faced. I remember you saying you never know what you're made of until you face a little adversity. I've always taken that to heart, and apparently so did your son Todd! 6 years of college football after multiple surgeries and setbacks...I have a lot of respect for his commitment and relentlessness. Anyway Coach, I, among others are praying for you and wishing you well. Hello to all of the Bladt family! Forever a Cyclone, Brody

The spirit, courage and will you have imparted to so many in your coaching is returning a hundred fold for you in this struggle! Besides you are the only coach I know that has a website that isn't preceded with the word "fire." Best wishes always in all ways. Bud

Hey coach, glad to hear your doing better! i was just sitting here reading the comments and watching the video clips. makes a guy wanna strap on the pads and run through a brick wall for ya again!  don't think for a minute that us ol' gezzers that play in the toilet bowl wouldn't give anything to strap 'em on for ya.  thanks for the great memories,  even now i'm sitting here thinking of some of the times i had back then.  but your more than just a football coach to so many of us! some people will never understand that, it's just something you have to live through!  get well soon!  your gonna fight through this i'm sure.  we all have confidence in you,  as you did us when we were young kids banding together to get a job done. i know my mother is looking in on you from heaven.  after all she was one of the biggest cyclone fans, even after me and Tyler moved on, she never missed a game up until she got sick.  i'm sure she's pulling some strings for ya up there!! pulling for ya coach!!  parky '88

To Coach Bladt and Family. Sorry to here of your illness. I am a Hawkeye fan living in "Cyclone Country". You don't know how painful it is to hear about how "great" the Cyclones are doing. YOU are the true Cyclones. And the only Cyclones I cheer for. I tell people I'm from Harlan, they say "Oh, you guys have a good football program". I say, no, they have a great football program. Coach Bladt, you put Harlan on the map. You would be surprised to hear how many people know about Harlan. They are very impressed. And they are not alone. So am I. Goodluck, and BEAT this thing. Come back for that 10th Championship! You are class Coach Bladt.

Hi Bladts, Dave and I want you to know that we are praying for you. I just returned last Saturday from a trip to Malaysia (an exchange for the State Department). While on the 17 hour airplane ride I was reading John Grisham's book "Bleachers" and I was so thankful for you and the influence you have had on so many people in this community. I was really prompted to thank God for you and to pray for you. I was so sorry to hear of your illness when I returned home. With so many people praying for you I know you will do well. I was with the Governor earlier this week and he asked about how you were doing. We wish you the best. Sincerely, Dave and Nancy Boettger

Football and coaching aside, and after looking down this list of people wishin', hopin', and prayin' for you to get well, i think that is a testimony in and of itself of how many people's lives you have impacted. Some play football sure, but only a few. The rest know you for your big smile, jolly, roaring laugh, and your witty humor. Coach, your great on and off the field, a true champion both at Merrill Field east and in life. It has been my pleasure to know you and form a relationship with you as a friend, a coach, and as a person. Now, as a former football player, you never asked us to win, not once. You always said, "Do your best, and let the chips fall where they may." The other was, "Don't worry about what happened on the the last play, you focus on the next play." Well coach, life has handed you lemons, i think your next play should be to make lemonade:) and you do your very best at beating this thing, and the chips will fall where they may. Let's just say, those chips falling, well they seem to land on your side. Wishin', hopin', and prayin' for you coach with all my heart. Stay strong, live well...Loberdoc

Hey Coach! I've always enjoyed your sense of humor and your appreciation of a good joke. I decided to share a joke with you, but I wouldn't call it a good one. My apologies to the fair haired folks out there, as it is another one of those blonde jokes. A young blonde maiden was rocketing down the Interstate at speeds in excess of the posted limit. Suddenly she heard sirens wailing and caught a glimpse of flashing red lights in her rear view mirror. She quickly slowed the momentum of her tiny sports car and carefully pulled off onto the shoulder. As the cruiser drew near, it too followed suit and parked behind the young lady’s automobile. The officer, a blonde himself, approached the young driver. “Your license and registration, please!” “Registration? What’s a registration?” “Your registration is the piece of paper on which is typed your name, address, vehicle make, vehicle model, and other information.” After rummaging through her purse, she presents him with a stamped envelope. “Here!” “Sorry ma’am, that is just and envelope with your name and address, try looking in your glove compartment.” “Is this it?” “Yes, now I need your drivers license.” “Driver’s license? What does it look like?” “It’s a small plastic rectangle with your name and picture on it.” Again searching through her purse, she hands him a credit card. “Well miss, you’re close, but this is your credit card, it doesn’t have your picture on it either, try again.” One more time she pokes around in her purse and produces a small plastic compact in the shape of a rectangle. She opens it and sees her reflection in the mirror. After closing it she hands it to the officer. “Here it is! It has my picture in it!” The blonde trooper takes the compact from the girl, opens it, and is surprised when he sees his reflection in the mirror. He quickly returns it to the blonde driver. “I’m really sorry for detaining you miss, you’re free to go, I didn’t realize you were a fellow officer!” Coach, in all seriousness, our prayers and thoughts are with you, Jill, and your family at this time. We pray for your complete recovery. May it be a speedy one! Take care and if you need anything, just ask!

You are on our church prayer list Curt and I know people at First Baptist Church are concerned and are praying for you and your family. You are in a good hospital but I believe you are also in the hands of God and there is no better place to be. I stopped by briefly yesterday and when I am in Omaha I will stop again. God bless you. Curt, Since leaving in Harlan in 1990, everywhere I would go, people would ask me what I used to do...and I would proudly say, "I taught in Harlan." Hey coach. I just wanted you to know that everyone is thinking about you & we miss you. I dont think this community would know what to do if you dont get better soon. I know that everyone has memories but being only a junior in HCHS i remember my first football game on the sidelines with you. I dont think that I was within 10 yards of you . I was afraid that i might get in that way & get yelled at for something. But as the seasons moved on i grew to know you has a big teddy bear with a temper! Even though you have a temper thats not what people remeber you by. Its your presents in this community and others that makes people want to know you. so get well soon because everyone needs you here. Petrea

Hi Coach, hoping you are recovering and feeling better today. I want to ask you if you remember one football playoff game about 15 years ago when your team played at Webster City -- and it snowed. Not just snow, but sleet and windy conditions so strong it fogged over then blew the windows shut in the press box where I sat covering the game for my newspaper. Harlan came out on top by the margin of a late field goal. You were very happy afterwards.... as I began interviewing you for quotes, you grabbed me in a bear hug and nearly broke my arm shaking hands (not intentionally and it was pretty cold anyway). I never forgot that and you as well, for making that one of my most memorable moments in my time in sports reporting. Sure many others have similiar memories .. you're one of a kind. Best of luck to you and your family.

Coach-Only something as rare as this form of GBS could lay you out. A good friend of ours outlasted GBS some 3 years ago and has never had a health issue since. He does lead a much more laid-back lifestyle these days though. Maybe you shouldn't have been yelling so loud at that kid, maybe you shouldn't have thrown that key ring at my head for hitting Tom Koos in practice - Carstens told me to! It is amazing to me the indelible mark you have made on my life and the lives of literally thousands of "kids". As you reflect on all that is going on right now, and on your mortality - this sort of thing USUALLY does that to people - and that position of authority that you have been placed in (Romans 13:1), consider this list of messages and consider that a man reaps only what he sows (Galations 6:7-9). There are a LOT of people that love and care for you from the looks of it. Seems you must have imparted quite a bit of that yourself. Never mind that I still can't hear out of my left ear.... I am still coaching and getting after them and I know that you will be back some day also. Do as the doctors tell you and follow your rehab and the Cyclones will have their leader back. I still chuckle about what you told me coming off the Dome field last year('03)after we won and you were getting ready to play---"Now we know who the brains were behind all those E'Hawk wins." As you know it is a team game and so will your recvoery be a team game, and all of us are pulling for you. May God be with you. Sincerely, Tom Steen Head Football Coach Emmetsburg

20 years from now when you are reading all of these messages, I want you to reflect back on the thousands of miles we spent together on the highways of Iowa on a rough riding yellow machine. We did good, didn't we!!!! Also recall the day one of my kids referred to you as "The big fat guy with the orange hair" must have got their color vision problem from me. Anyway big fella, you have given me many fond memories and I hope many more to come, and I hope that there will be many more nights that you grace the sidelines of Merrill field, east and west>

Coach: A quick note to let you know that we are thinking about you and that we expect nothing less then full recovery. I did not think that my record being broken this year would effect you so greatly, though I can understand being that I was one of your favorite pains in the ass (there were alot of those of the years). Could you not just have had Gallinger pull that Kruse kid for one quarter? It would have only been fair - given Jake's two interceptions for touchdowns keeping me on the sideline. Just get well, the town and the kids that you coach need to continue to learn what it takes to be winners not only on the field but off, from the man that has taught so many, so much! If I have to I will give Buck a call and have him come down there and do what he does best - yell until you shape up!!! Oh, the nightmares!!!! Thoughts and Prayers!!! Virgil
